Aqari Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy describes what information Aqari ("the app," "we," "us") collects, how it's used, and how you can control or delete it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and phone number, and you choose a password. Your phone number and password are used to sign in. To confirm the number belongs to you — at sign-up, and again if you ask to reset your password — we send a one-time code to it by SMS.

Contact email (optional). You can add an email address to your profile if you want one on file. It is not used to sign in, is not a way to recover your account, and we do not send messages to it automatically. You can remove it at any time in Settings.

Profile photo (optional). If you add a profile photo, it's stored and shown on your account.

Listing content. If you list a property, we store the details you provide — title, price, description, location, and any photos or videos you upload — so other users can browse and contact you about it.

Seller profile. Once at least one of your listings has been approved, other users — including people who aren't signed in — can open your seller profile from any of your listings. It shows your name, your profile photo if you added one, whether you are a verified seller, the month you joined, and your listings that are currently live. It does not show your phone number or email; your phone number appears only on the listings you publish, as the way buyers contact you.

Location. If you allow it, we use your device's current location to center the map around you when you browse listings. This location is used only on your device to set the initial map view — it is never sent to or stored on our servers.

Saved listings. We store which listings you've saved ("favorites") so they're available across your sessions.

Push notifications (optional). If you allow notifications, Aqari collects and stores a device push-notification token associated with your account. We use this token to send updates about your own listings, such as approval or rejection. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

New listing alerts (optional, off by default). You can separately choose to be alerted when a new listing is approved, and choose which cities — and, within a city, which districts — those alerts cover. We store that choice and those areas on your profile. It is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off or change the areas at any time in Settings. We do not use push notifications for advertising.

Crash reports. If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a crash report so we can find and fix the problem. A report contains technical details — the error, where in the app it happened, your device model and operating-system version, the app version, and a random identifier for the app installation. We configure crash reporting so that reports do not include your name, phone number, email, account ID, screenshots of your screen, or the content you enter, and we do not use crash reports to identify you.

How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account
  • To show your listings to other users and let them contact you
  • To show your seller profile to people viewing your listings
  • To let you save and revisit listings you're interested in
  • To send a one-time code confirming your phone number, at sign-up and when resetting your password
  • To review and approve listings before they appear publicly (all listings are moderated before going live)
  • To send listing-status notifications when you have enabled push notifications
  • To send alerts about new listings in the areas you chose, if you turned those alerts on
  • To find and fix crashes and errors in the app

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

Third-party services

We use the following service providers to operate Aqari. We share only the information reasonably necessary for each provider to perform its service:

  • SupabaseProvides our database, authentication, file storage, and server-side functions. May process account information, saved listings, listing content, uploaded photos/videos, profile photos, reports, and push-notification tokens on our behalf.
  • Resala (Sadeem Technology, Libya)Delivers the one-time codes used to confirm your phone number, by SMS. Receives the phone number and the message containing the code.
  • Expo Push ServiceDelivers push notifications to devices when you have enabled notifications. Aqari sends the device push token and notification payload required for delivery.
  • SentryReceives the crash reports described above, so we can diagnose and fix problems. Processes them on our behalf and does not use them for advertising.
  • Map servicesDisplays the map and property locations — Apple Maps on iOS, MapTiler on Android. MapTiler receives a request for the map area shown on your screen in order to return that imagery, and does not receive your account information. Your current location is used on-device only, never sent to or stored on our servers for this purpose.
  • DPayUsed only in sandbox/development infrastructure for the disabled Boost feature — not part of the current mobile release. If Boost is enabled in a future release, this policy will be updated before activation.

We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The only diagnostic tool in the app is the crash reporting described above. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Your choices

  • You can edit your name, profile photo, contact email, phone number and password at any time in Settings. Changing your phone number requires confirming the new number with a one-time code.
  • You can turn new listing alerts on or off, and change which cities and districts they cover, in Settings.
  • You can delete individual saved listings or your own submitted listings at any time.
  • You can allow or disable push notifications through your device settings.
  • You can ask us to remove your stored push-notification token by contacting us at aaqaaryy@gmail.com or by deleting your account.
  • You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, or via our account deletion page. This removes your profile, saved listings, seller directory entry, and every listing you've submitted, together with its photos and videos.

Data retention

We keep account information, saved listings, and push-notification tokens for as long as needed to provide the requested account and notification features, or until you delete your account, disable the relevant feature, or request deletion where applicable. We remove or disassociate account-linked data when an account is deleted, subject to legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or record-keeping needs. Push-notification tokens are removed or invalidated when they are no longer needed, when you disable notifications, or when your account is deleted.

Crash reports are kept only as long as needed to investigate and fix problems, and are deleted automatically according to our crash-reporting provider's retention period.

When you delete your account, your listings and the photos and videos uploaded with them are deleted too; none of them stay public.

Children's privacy

Aqari is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
